Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage moniker Basketmouth, was born on September 14, 1978, in Lagos State. He is a top comic who has produced nationally recognized stand-up comedy events like Basketmouth Uncensored.
The #TwoThingsChallenge, which Basketmouth arranged on Instagram, drew condemnation from his followers after a young admirer shared a video of him speaking inappropriate things about sex with a youngster in near view.
With his brother Godwin, Basketmouth studied sociology and anthropology at the University of Benin in Edo state after completing both his primary and secondary schooling in Apapa Lagos, Nigeria.
Basketmouth received the National Comedy Award and the Best Stand-up Comedian of the Year awards from 2005 to 2006. In 2016, Basketmouth made an appearance on the cast of the Africa Magic production “My Flatmates.”

They began going to concerts and rapping in 1995, but they disbanded before putting out any official music. He later started a new rap group called “Da Oddz” with his brother Godwin and Muyiwa Ola-Phillips. The majority of Basket Mouth’s income comes from endorsement deals with brands like Glo, from hosting concerts, from acting, and from other show business endeavors. He charges $2 million and more for performances. According to estimates, he will be worth N1.8 billion in 2020.

2013 saw him give his wife this lovely Honda vehicle as a birthday present. The automobile has the following features.

The vehicle has a unitized steel body on a 10-member high-tensile steel ladder frame, an independent double-wishbone front suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar, a Torsen®96, limited-slip center differential with locking feature, and a 4-link rear suspension with coil springs, stabilizer bar, and a semi-floating axle. Basket mouth paid N19 million for it.
Basketmouth Divorce
Basketmouth, in what took many Nigerians and his fans across the world by surprise, announced on his Instagram page on December 21, 2022, that he and wife have agreed to a separation after 12years of marriage that was blessed with three lovely children.
While no detail as to the reason behind the unexpected divorce was given, Basketmouth requested for privacy from the public as the erstwhile couple begins a new phase of life.
