Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage moniker Basketmouth, was born on September 14, 1978, in Lagos State. He is a top comic who has produced nationally recognized stand-up comedy events like Basketmouth Uncensored.

The #TwoThingsChallenge, which Basketmouth arranged on Instagram, drew condemnation from his followers after a young admirer shared a video of him speaking inappropriate things about sex with a youngster in near view.

With his brother Godwin, Basketmouth studied sociology and anthropology at the University of Benin in Edo state after completing both his primary and secondary schooling in Apapa Lagos, Nigeria.

Basketmouth, in what took many Nigerians and his fans across the world by surprise, announced on his Instagram page on December 21, 2022, that he and wife have agreed to a separation after 12years of marriage that was blessed with three lovely children.

While no detail as to the reason behind the unexpected divorce was given, Basketmouth requested for privacy from the public as the erstwhile couple begins a new phase of life.
