Apply For UK Nigeria Tech Hub Program 2021

The UK Nigeria Tech Hub has launched applications for the Design, Product, and Developer School Program, which aims to provide young Nigerians with skills in graphics design, product design, product management, and software programming.

The program’s goal is to identify, equip, and mentor aspiring designers, product managers, and software developers with world-class design, product, and development skills, as well as soft skills, entrepreneurial skills, and leadership skills, in order to help them kick-start their careers in technology while also assisting them in gaining economic opportunities.

About

The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub is a project of the UK government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sports (DCMS), which aims to help the development of Nigeria’s technology ecosystem. The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub is part of a larger Digital Access Programme aimed at accelerating digital inclusion in Africa.

The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub aims to boost local digital economies, support inclusive and sustainable economic growth and jobs, develop high-end digital skills, and form innovation partnerships between Nigerian tech sectors and international businesses, all of which will inadvertently lead to more trade and investment in the long run, boosting productivity and growth.

To date, the International Tech Hub Network has announced Hubs in South Africa, Kenya, India, Indonesia, and Brazil, in addition to Nigeria. The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub is part of a larger Digital Access Programme aimed at accelerating digital inclusion in Africa.
