Gitex, which is an acronym for Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, is a special event that is being organised on yearly basis, where a group of technologist who are into electronics and computer discipline (Software & Hardware) are brought together for exhibition and conference display. The trade show is often held in Dubai.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), who is sponsoring startups in Nigeria to the 2021 Gitex Event is calling on interested applicants to apply. As about fifty (50) persons will be lucky to be part of the event at the Star Pavilion of GITEX.
In the event, thousands of Tech across the world will meet in a single setting (conference) to deliberate on ideas that will uplift the economy of the digital sector.
The event is normally run for four (4) days, where important topics are Cyber security, 5G, Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Blockchain, Big data, Brand marketing, Gitex talk, Robotic demonstration, etc.
The program will kick start in October (17th of October to 21st of October 2021).
Requirements
The criteria needed for acceptance of applications are;
- You must be a Nigerian startup who stays either in Nigeria or any other country.
- As a startup you should be able to present a product that is functional, and can be showcased internationally.

Closing Date of Application: The application process which is currently on will end on the 16th of July 2021.
All successfully submitted applications will be scrutinized, of which only the most qualified will be lucky to be part of the fifty persons NITDA will sponsor to the event at Dubai.

ii. Viability of product (How good the product is)
iii. Team of applicant, as well as innovators strength.
