Chukwu Ndubuisi, a teacher at Mind Builders School in Lagos, has been sentenced to life in in jail after he was found guilty of defiling a six-year-old child. Ndubuisi, an Art teacher, was detained in June 2016 after the girl told her mother about the act.
According to court records, the victim came up about her experience with her class instructor and what the teacher used to do to her as she and her mother were discussing the well-publicized tale of a seven-year-old girl who was defiled and killed. She begged her mother one more time not to tell anyone.
The mother told the father, who subsequently reported the incident to the Omole Police Station, where the officers conducted a thorough investigation before apprehending the culprit.
The Ikosi Health Centre’s medical examination of the victim confirmed that she had been violently penetrated since she had a damaged hymen and a reddened vulva.
Ndubuisi was given a life sentence for the crime by Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya of the Ikeja High Court.
