Information reaching Nyscinfo.com news desk indicates that there will be a Compulsory Covid19 Test for all the prospective and returning NYSC members before they will be allowed enterance into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps.
This was made known by the National coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid19, Sani Aliyu, on Thursday, October 15 during press briefing in Abuja.
Aliyu stated that it is a vital requirement in line with the standing protocols of the NCDC.

According to FG, all prospective, returning corps members and NYSC staff will undergo mandatory Covid19 test and certified negative before they will be allowed to enter camp.
He said:
“We have developed guidelines with the NCDC (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control) and the NYSC in the preparation for the reopening of the orientation camps on the 10th of November, 2020.
“The PTF has also arranged additional safeguards to include the testing of all corpers and staff in the camps for COVID-19 tests prior to commencement of the orientation programmes.”

Recall that the minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare, on Thursday announced that NYSC camps would be reopened on Tuesday, 10th November, 2020.
He said:
“The resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corpers has been approved and opens on November 10th 2020. Full COVID-19 Protocols will be enforced.”
Dare said that full Covid19 protocols will be strictly followed to avoid spread of the virus in camp.
Meanwhile, the NYSC Director-General, through the NYSC Director, press and Public Relation, Adenike Adeyemi has also confirmed November 10 as the official Orientation camp reopening date.
According to Adenike, all the Batch A Stream 2 perspective corps members are automatically converted to Batch B which will enter camp on November 10.
