Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has congratulated the Flying Eagles following their victory over Uganda in the 2023 U-20 AFCON quarterfinal and their qualification for this year’s World Cup in Indonesia.
Ibrahim Juma of Uganda scored an own goal in the 30th minute to give the Flying Eagles a 1-0 victory over Uganda on Thursday at the Suez Canal Stadium.
Taking to his official twitter page, the Super Eagles head coach wrote:
“Congratulations to our Flying Eagles who have guaranteed a spot in U20 World Cup in May, as well as being through to the semi-finals of the U20 AFCON,” the Tweet reads.

On March 7 at the Cairo International Stadium, Ladan Bosso’s team will face the winner of the U-20 AFCON quarterfinal between Gambia and South Sudan.
