The Active Citizen Fellowship 2021 is now accepting applications. The Fellowship is for young Nigerian civil society leaders who have shown a strong desire to promote democracy and improve the quality of life in their communities via their activities in the past. In this article, we will show you how to apply for the Active Citizen Fellowship 2021.

Fellows will get the opportunity to learn more about citizen involvement and advocacy from industry leaders as part of the fellowship.

Background of Noble Mission

The Active Citizen fellowship is for young Nigerian civil society leaders who have shown a strong desire to promote democracy and improve the quality of life in their communities via their activities in the past. Fellows will get the opportunity to learn more about citizen involvement and advocacy from industry leaders as part of the fellowship. An engaged citizen improves the quality of life in a community by gaining a mix of knowledge, skills, values, and drive to work to make a difference in society through both political and non-political processes.

Active Citizen Fellowship’s Purpose and Benefits Fellowship

Fellows would have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders with a wealth of knowledge.

  1. One participant will receive a N50, 000 grant, and all participants will receive one year of premium access to itakeactions.org, valued at N15, 000, to run their campaigns and rally support from residents.

Applicants will qualify if:

  1. You are under 45 years old
  2. You run a registered nonprofit organisation in Nigeria
  3. You have two hours per week to commit to online training and meet-ups
  4. You have access to a computer with a webcam and a good internet connection.
