The Lagos Design School Program aims to provide Lagos residents with graphic design, product design, and workplace skills, as well as the necessary exposure, to help them begin careers and earn money in the technology sector and beyond.

The program is run by NerdzFactory Company as part of the Lagos State Employability Support Project and is funded by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF).

The goal of the program is to provide young people with creative, soft, and entrepreneurship skills, as well as connect them to economic opportunities, while also supporting businesses in hiring competent staff.

About USADF/LSETF Design School Lagos Program

The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) is a non-profit corporation founded by Congress to support African grassroots organizations, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized businesses. The investments made by the USADF help to boost local economic development by raising incomes, revenues, and jobs, as well as providing opportunities for marginalized people and underprivileged communities.

The goal of the USADF/LSETF Design School Lagos Program is to provide a 100% tuition scholarship.

Qualification requirements for the USADF/LSETF Design School in Lagos

Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Must live in Lagos
  • 18 to 35 years of age
  • Availability during the duration of the training
  • Tertiary Educated
