Federal Government Undergraduate Scholarship 2022

The Honourable Minister of Education (HME), Mallam Adamu Adamu, hereby invites interested and qualified Nigerians to participate in the Federal Government Scholarship Award 2020/2021.

The Following Are The Eligibility Criteria For The Nigerian Award:

Applicants for postgraduate studies should have at least a first-class honours upper-division degree. The applicant must be a full-time student in a federal or state university. All other applicants (UG, HND, and NCE) must be full-time students enrolled in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, or Colleges of Education in their second year or higher. All undergraduate scholarship applicants (including physically challenged students) must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 on a five-point scale or equivalents, or 5.0 on a seven-point scale.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All NCE and HND applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.

The scholarship is valid in Nigeria and will begin at the start of the academic year.

It cannot be held concurrently with another Award, nor can it be used for part-time studies.

Changing courses or institutions while receiving the award is not permitted.

THE FIELD OF STUDY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE AWARD INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Science and Technology
  • Medicine and Para-medicals
  • Education D. Agriculture
  • Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences
  • Entrepreneural Studies,
  • ICT
  • Environmental Sciences
  • Law

It is recommended that all qualified candidates:

a. Go to www.education.gov.ng and select Federal Ministry of Education from the drop-down menu.

  • Current Course Registration Form
  • CGPA results of year 1, 2, 3, etc.
  • Current School’s Identity Card
  • Indigene certificate from the state or local government
