NITDA has opened an application portal for the 4IRTA Initiative in Agriculture and is calling on those in the Agriculture sector to apply.
The Federal Government, through the National Innovation Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has launched the Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies Initiative (4IRTA) application portal for the Agriculture sector to apply for funds.
The Initiative aims to encourage and inspire the use of technology, particularly Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies such as UAV, AI, and Blockchain, to optimize various sectors of our economy.
The Agriculture Demonstration Project will enable the Federal Government to identify and incorporate market-ready innovations that utilize these 4IR technologies to improve productivity and sustainability in our agricultural sector.
Selected projects will have the opportunity to receive up to N10,000,000 in funding to further implement 4IR technologies in their work.
The Ministry of Agriculture will offer assistance to chosen pilot farms and guide them towards expansion and long-term viability.
Eligibility:
- The 10 selected projects should focus on utilizing UAV, IoT, Al, and Blockchain technologies in various agricultural sectors such as crop production, fishery, livestock, and forestry.
- Project proposals must demonstrate the use of 4IR Technologies to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability in Nigeria.
