Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, January 19 rescheduled the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from January 19 to February 16, 2022.
Recall that the case was previously adjourned on January 18 to 19. The shift in the trial date was granted by the trial judge, Binta Nyako, following a passionate plea to that effect.

Nnamdi defeated FG in Abia High Court
Justice Benson Anya of Abia State High Court on January 19 delivered judgement in favor of Nnamdi Kanu, ordering the Government of Nigeria to pay the IPOB leader the sum of One Billion Naira (N1,000,000,000) being a compensation to Kanu over the invasion of his father’s house on September 10, 2017 by the Nigerian Army. Justice Benson also ordered the Federal Government to issue a public apology to Kanu which would be published in three national dailies over the illegal invasion of his father’s house. In his judgement, he also urged the Federal Government to apply political solution in dealing with issues involving the IPOB leader.
The suit was filled by one of the Kanu’s Lawyers, Aloy Ejimakor.
