NYSC Important Update For PCMs and Corps Members

This NYSC important update is for Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) and Corps Members.

Dear Gentlemen Prospective Corps Members and Corps members, hope you are all fine and staying at home.

This is to inform all of you that NYSC is still at hold as part of preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19. No CDS meetings and no monthly biometric clearance till further notice. NYSC will pay your monthly allowance for the next two months without CDS meetings and monthly clearance.

Please, note that 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 will return to Orientation camp to complete their course when Coronavirus is over.

For 2020 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2, if you have not seen your call-up number or unable to complete your online registration, do not panic! The NYSC offices are closed due to lockdown.

When the pandemic is over, another opportunity will be given to you to complete your registration and pick states of choice. Please, beware of redeployment fraudsters operating on WhatsApp groups.

If you are in any WhatsApp group or Facebook where the Admin ask you to pay for redeployment or direct posting, please exit that group. They are scammers, and do not have link with NYSC. They will block you after collecting your money.

Please, stay at home, wash your hands and maintain social distancing.

For now, the treatment for COVID-19 is still ‘symptomatic’, meaning that symptoms associated with the disease is what our doctors treat not the disease itself.

So please maintain the social distance and wash your hands regularly for your own safety.

There has been lockdown in many states and this has paralysized NYSC activities. So just stay connected and stay with us.

As soon as this Pandemic is over, you will be the first to hear a breaking news and we all will gather to celebrate.

There is a conspiracy theory going round that some masks are contaminated. So, when you get a face mask and gloves, boil it with water to kill all possible viruses. Stay safe!
