Moses Simon was born in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, on July 12th, 1995. He is a professional footballer who plays forward for KAA Gent of the Belgian Pro League and the Nigerian national team.

He began his childhood career at GBS Academy, a prominent football academy in Jos that assists young players in making the transition to the professional ranks. He spent the greater part of a decade before gaining the attention of Dutch heavyweights Ajax, who beat out Liverpool and Tottenham to sign him.

Despite pre-season and reserve team appearances for Ajax and Jong Ajax (the reserve side), Simon was not offered a professional contract by the four-time European champions, and he joined their partner club, AS Trencin, in Slovakia in January 2014. He made his Trencin debut in a 1-1 tie against MFK Kosice, and he made his first UEFA Europa League appearance in the summer of 2014, scoring a hatrick for Trencin against Serbians FK Vojvodina Novi Sad in a Second Qualifying Round match.

Simon was signed by Belgian team KAA Gent in January 2015 after a year with the Slovaks, where he scored 13 league goals in 33 appearances. That same year, he helped the club win the Jupiler League (the local championship) and the Belgian Super Cup.

He was also a member of the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League team that made it to the knockout phase, defeating Olympique Lyon, Valencia, and Zenit St. Petersburg along the way before being eliminated by Wolfsburg of Germany.

Moses Simon has been a member of the Nigeria Super Eagles since March 2015, when he received his first call-up from Daniel Amokachi and made his debut against Uganda in a friendly. In September 2015, he scored his first goal for the three-time African champions in a 2-0 win against Niger, and he was named to the 35-man preliminary team for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, but did not make the final cut. Simon has 27 goals in 100 appearances for his clubsides and 4 goals in 17 appearances with the Super Eagles.
